The Path to Eternal Life

Faith and Accepting Christ

Understanding a belief in Christ
Faith and Accepting Christ
Salvation is not earned, achieved, or deserved. You are saved by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ. Faith is the doorway, grace is the gift, and Christ is the Savior who makes it all possible.
Faith: Believing Jesus Is Who He Says He Is
Faith begins with a simple but life-changing truth:
Jesus Christ is exactly who He claimed to be—Lord, Savior, and the Son of God.
Faith is trusting His words, His identity, His sacrifice, and His promise of eternal life.
Grace: God’s Gift You Could Never Earn
The grace of God is not a reward for good behavior.
It is a gift—freely offered, completely undeserved, and available to anyone who will receive it. Grace is God reaching down to save you when you could never reach up to save yourself.
Acknowledging Your Need: Confessing You Are a Sinner
Salvation begins with honesty.
You must acknowledge the truth: you are a sinner in need of a Savior.
Repentance opens the heart; confession opens the door. Only when you recognize your need can you receive God’s gift.
The Work of Christ: Baptized With the Holy Spirit
When you come to Christ in faith, He does more than forgive you—
He baptizes you with the Holy Spirit, sealing you, transforming you, and giving you new life from the inside out. This is the supernatural work only Jesus can do.
The Love of God: The Heart of the Gospel
Jesus Himself declared the greatest promise ever spoken.
In John 3:16 He said:
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (NAS)
And He followed with the purpose of His mission in John 3:17:
“For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world shall be saved through Him.” (NAS)
God’s love sent Jesus.
Jesus’ sacrifice opened the way.
Faith receives the gift.
Grace secures your salvation.
